FAQ

Your Guide to Working with our Wedding Officiant in Texas

How Do I Obtain My Marriage License?

Before getting married, you must obtain your marriage license from your local County Clerk’s Office. Unfortunately, we cannot assist in obtaining the license or process it for you. After your ceremony, we’ll take care of returning your signed license to the County Clerk’s Office via FedEx with tracking at no additional cost. Rest easy knowing it’s in good hands!

What Do You Wear as an Officiant?

Our wedding officiants in Dallas dress in dark, neutral colors to ensure all eyes are on the gorgeous couple. Upon request, we can coordinate a tie or an accessory to complement your wedding colors, blending seamlessly into your special day.

Do You Attend the Rehearsal?

It’s entirely up to you! If you have a wedding planner, it may not be necessary for us to attend. However, if you’ve booked our Event Concierge service, our officiant will be present. If you don’t have a planner or concierge service, we highly recommend having us at your rehearsal to ensure everything runs smoothly. There is an additional fee of $125 for rehearsal attendance.

How Long Are Your Ceremonies?

Our ceremonies typically last 15 to 20 minutes, depending on how many readings, rituals, or traditions you want to include. We can customize the ceremony to be shorter or longer to match your unique vision.

Can We Include a Specialty Ceremony in Ours?

Absolutely! Specialty ceremonies such as sand ceremonies, unity candles, or even fun elements like taking a shot of whiskey with your guests can all be incorporated. Share your ideas, and we’ll help bring them to life while offering suggestions for unique, meaningful additions.

Do You Provide a Microphone or Sound System?

We don’t provide microphones or sound systems, but your DJ or venue typically handles these. Make sure to coordinate with them in advance to ensure your ceremony can be heard by all your guests.

Do You Have Any Rules We Should Know About?

We have just one rule: the marriage license must be signed during or immediately after the ceremony. To keep things organized, we kindly ask that the photographer waits until the license is signed before taking the couple off for post-ceremony photos.

Are Your Ceremonies Religious?

Most of our ceremonies are non-denominational and non-religious, focusing on your love story and connection as a couple. However, we’re happy to include religious elements, scriptures, or poems that are meaningful to you. Our officiants are flexible and can recommend passages or readings that align with your preferences.

What Areas Do You Serve?

We’re based in Dallas, TX, and serve the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. So whether you're planning a ceremony in Downtown Dallas, North Dallas, or even a cozy backyard wedding, we’re here to make it special.

Can You Perform Last-minute Weddings Or Elopements?

Yes! If you’re planning a last-minute wedding or elopement, we’ll do our best to accommodate your timeline. Love happens fast sometimes, and we’re here to make sure your day is unforgettable.
